About our Student Ministry

The purpose of the “Rooted” Student ministry at Emmanuel is based on Colossians 2:6-7 in the Scriptures. Our desire is to help equip teenagers from the sixth grade to seniors in high school to be firmly Rooted in Christ by providing a fun and engaging environment in which they are challenged to…

1. GROW DEEP by knowing Christ and His Word “… just as you were instructed…”

2. LIVE STRONG Christian lives as we follow Jesus in community “… so walk in Him…”

3. So that they can BUILD HIS KINGDOM by living out opportunities to be obedient to their life’s purpose “…overflowing with gratitude…”

We believe that purpose of everyone created in the image of God has a two-fold purpose: to know God & make Him known! Everything that we do as a Student ministry has an element of this principle as a part of its DNA, and we hope that you will join us as we reach and encourage the students of Athens and Limestone County to live out that purpose.
